Deep State Death by Braided Bathrobe Belt - The 1965 "Suicide" of Ethel DuPont

Well before Epstein was "suicided" with his own bed sheets, death at the presumably distraught's own hand, had become almost an Internet meme or at least a Reddit forum post trope.

Anthony Bourdain hung himself in June 2018 and so did Kate Spade. Other recent celebrity hangings include Chris Cornell (2017), Chester Bennington (2017), Mark Sailing (2018), August Ames (2017) a Canadian pornography actress, and no doubt more I've missed.

The suicides listed above were all relatively controversial. Like the Epstein "suicide" many have speculated that these people were murdered by forces associated with human trafficking rings and/or despicable acts involving children, etc, all under the authority, or at the insistence of very powerful people (aka, the Deep State.)

That the deaths by hanging seemed to be a common denominator, the idea that the method was a "calling card" by the Deep State did not take long to take hold in every media venue except the mainstream. We generally subscribe to the theory that the deaths above, and others, were at the hands of Deep State operators. The death by hanging method, especially with the belt of a bathrobe might be a calling card, but we would argue it is just a more practical murder method when the goal is to make the murder look like a suicide.

As the chart shows, suicide by firearm is the most popular method, followed by hanging, poisoning, falling and cutting. If the plan is to commit a murder and try to pass it off as a suicide, then hanging/suffocating seems the most efficient and practical. A gun to the head is definitely going attract immediate attention, plus, it is apparently to technical to get just right as far as how the gun should be held, the position the body should be in, whether or not the victim had a gun. The "suicide" of Vince Foster is still causing problems for the Clintons because of all those factors.

Aside from hanging, the other "popular" suicide methods are not always practical if you want the murder to look like a suicide. Those of us with dogs know how difficult it is to get "Rover" to take a single heart worm pill. Imagine trying to shove a bottle full of Oxycontin into the mouth of someone who does not want it. There is going to be a struggle, and even if successful, a long wait.

• Fall - You need a high place.
• Cut/Piece - Who has time to wait for the victim to bleed out.
• Drowning - You need a pool or a pond; etc.

The point should be clear. Strangling someone with a rope is quieter than using a firearm, and making it look like a suicide by hanging, is just more practical than the other methods. If there is symbolism in a bathrobe rope, so be it, but it is probably just quick, practical, and does not leave a mess.

Ethel du Pont was the eldest child of Eugene du Pont, Jr. and Ethel du Pont (nee Pyle) and granddaughter of Eugene du Pont Sr., the first head of the modern DuPont Corporation. 

Ethel is most famous for two things, her marriage in 1937 to  Franklin D. Roosevelt Jr., son of  President Franklin D. Roosevelt and Eleanor Roosevelt and her eventual suicide in 1965. She divorced Frank Jr. in 1949, and married Benjamin S. Warren Jr. in 1950.

From Wikipedia: Ethel du Pont was forty-nine years old when she committed suicide on May 25, 1965. She had been under psychiatric care several times in the years preceding her death and spent time at the Silver Hill Foundation, a hospital in New Canaan, Connecticut. Her death took place a few months before her son Christopher's wedding in June 1965 and while her son with Warren, then 10 years old, was away at boarding school. 

In typical Wikipedia fashion, there is no mention about the method Ethel used to kill herself. As the clipping shows though, Ethel hung herself

We have not come across any articles, essays, accounts or other evidence that suggests that Ethel's suicide was anything other than what it was; a suicide, not a murder. The only thing that got our attention was the bathrobe rope. As noted above, death by hanging, and in particular, bathrobe ropes, is a common theme with individuals that may have crossed the wrong group of powerful people. As a du Pont and a Roosevelt, Ethel was definitely familiar with powerful people, some of them in the wrong group.

There are other posts in this blog that highlight some of the connections between these members of the Gibson Island Club and nefarious historical events that have occurred, possibly because of their influence and power, over the past 100 years.

Who knows what Ethel was upset about. It probably had nothing to do with Cold War intrigue, illicit weapons transfers, third world coups, or first world assassinations. Nevertheless, her suicide must have been the talk of the Gibson Island cocktail parties in the summer of 1965.

Only the previous Fall (October 12, 1964), another face very familiar to the Gibson Island Set had been shot to death  on the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal towpath in Georgetown, where many of the Gibson Islanders had their full year residences.

Mary Pinchot Meyer was not "Suicided"

Her murder remains suspicious to this day. Theories generally surmise she was killed because of what she knew about the JFK Assassination. This Smithsonian Magazine article tells the story.

There were only about 100 families on Gibson Island back in the 1960s. Whether or not Mary Pinchot spent much time on Gibson, either as a child, or later in life, we are not sure. We tend to believe she was at the very least familiar with the place and Ethel du Pont.

Mary Pinchot's uncle Gifford (Gifford Pinchot - 28th Governor of Pennsylvania) was an early buyer of a Gibson Island lot (1920s or 1930s) along with Ethel's grandfather Eugene du Pont. In those early days, there were probably less than 50 families on Gibson Island. Ethel was four years older than Mary Pinchot. It is probably not a stretch to speculate they knew each other.

We'll take a closer look at Ethel and Mary and see if they had more in common than their association with Gibson Island, for now though, the gang at Gibson Island sure must have had a lot to talk about with the tragic deaths of Ethel and Mary within eight months of each other.

Arrowsmith of Gibson Island, a Few More Familiar Names and a Dueling Scar

As noted in our last post, Harold N. Arrowsmith Jr. was known to associate with Neo-Nazis, including George Lincoln Rockwell, and old-Nazis, like Hans Rechenberg.

The historical record can confirm that Rockwell and Rechenburg were first degree connections to Harold Arrowsmith. A few more names have popped up in the list of associates of Rockwell and Rechenburg that are interesting. We have not dug deep enough to confirm a first degree connection between Arrowsmith and these associates, so we'll call them second degree connections for now.

Did Somebody Say Hookers?
Harold N. Arrowsmith was not the first wealthy WASP that Rockwell ran in the same circles with that was a potential source of funding for a nascent North American Nazi movement. Prior to Rockwell's receipt of some "start-up" capital from Arrowsmith in 1958, Rockwell was introduced to
DeWest Hooker (aka West Hooker.)

DeWest Hooker is another one of those characters in the huge circle of JFK conspirators, Cold-War spies, culture manipulators and disinformation agents that all seemed to know each other, in some way, before November 1963.

The last name "Hooker" is one of those "Eastern Establishment" family names that would lend credibility to a possible "mark" like George Lincoln Rockwell, who was looking for a wealthy benefactor back in the mid-1950s. As this blog post reads, Dewest looked like a genuine "hoi polloi", and he may well have been. There are other Hookers in the general "milieu" of the JFK conspiracy, including a branch in the Rockefeller family. An Edward Hooker was the room mate of George H.W. Bush at Andover and the uncle of George de Mohrenschildt.

The Hooker/Rockwell association does not appear to have developed into a benefactor/protege relationship, and we only think it is noteworthy that apparent attempt was made because of the more successful relationship that developed a few years later between Rockwell and Arrowsmith. (ie. Neophyte Nazi (Rockwell) find WASP money (Arrowsmith.) In other words, was Rockwell an actor in a play he probably did not know he was in?

As described in this post the CIA station in Munich was keeping tabs on Harold Arrowsmith in 1962. Harold was noted to have been in contact with an un-repentant ex-Nazi named Hans Rechenburg. 

The CIA has a substantive file on Hans Rechenburg with 129 records available for review in the Nazi War Crimes Disclosure Act section of the CIA FOIA vault.

The most interesting record we have come across so far is a translation of a correspondence between Rechenburg and Super Nazi Otto Skorzeny. The letter is dated February 19, 1962 and a February 12 letter is referenced.  (The letter between Rechenberg and Arrowsmith is date January 20, 1962.) 

We'll set aside further speculation as to whether the letters have any significance for the time being and anyone is free to go through the Reckenberg CIA files if you are conducting your own research.

Otto Skorzeny gained Super-Nazi status when in World War II, Hitler asked him to rescue Benito Mussolini from his prison "high in the Abruzzi Apennines."

Skorzeny agreed and on 13th September he led an airbourne force of commandos by glider to a dangerous landing near the hotel where he was being held. Mussolini was soon freed and Skorzeny flew him to safety. Source: Spartacus Educational

Otto Skorenzy is also a suspect in the JFK Assassination, which is what makes him relevant to this narrative. The book below is relatively new (we have not read) and presents evidence that Skorzeny was involved in the plot to kill JFK.

More About Arrowsmith, the Nazi from Gibson Island

Harold Noel Arrowsmith corresponded with both "Old-School" Nazi's, like Hans Rechenberg, in addition to the neo-Nazis.

Our post yesterday highlighted Harold Noel Arrowsmith Jr.. The Arrowsmith family was one of the early "investors" in the Gibson Island real estate development. The post, About the Gibson Islander Neo-Nazi Financier, the "Face" he Financed, and the Futile JFK File Search can be read here.

Subsequent to yesterday's post, we found additional information about "Harold Jr."

• Seems to have lived in both Maryland and Germany since at least the late 1950's.
• Moved to Germany permanently in 1974, and passed away there in 1989.
• He was wealthy. As a result of international tax treaty issues, an appeal and litigation by his heirs prompted the disclosure that Harold had about $30 million when he died.

We noted the absence of a "file" on Arrowsmith in the maryferrell.org archive database in the earlier post. A subsequent check of the CIA archives was more fruitful. (A few JFK researchers have said on various message boards that the maryferrell.org website is "controlled opposition." Maybe they are correct.)

The screenshot below shows that in early 1962, the CIA in Munich was monitoring the correspondence of Harold Arrowsmith with a German national named Hans Rechenberg. The letter indicates that Harold Arrowsmith either had an innocent interest in German history, which would square with his "anthropology" interests, or that his willingness to finance some small expenses may indicate more nefarious intentions.

The Rechenberg Dossier

Every stack of paper sounds important when you call it a dossier.

Hans Rechenberg (also Hans-Joachim Rechenberg, sometimes Rechenburg) was a Nazi "journalist" who worked under Reich Minister Walther Funk before the war and under Goebbels during the war. He was a war correspondent for the Reich and flew with the Luftwaffe on London bombing missions and parachuted into Tunisia with the Afrika Korps. In May 1943 Rechenberg was listed as MIA and spent the rest of the war in Concordia, Kansas until being repatriated back to Germany in 1946.

After the war, Rechenberg was apparently unrepentant, or duty bound, or needed the money, and remained loyal to some of his former bosses who rank high enough in the Nazi organizational chart to warrant a trial at Nuremberg.  These loyalist activities included:

Swiss Banker, ODESSA Supporter

• advocating for better prison conditions for his former bosses.
• oversaw "Progress", a Pro-German Nationalism / Anti-American Magazine.
• conspiring with a Swiss banker and escape agent for Nazi criminals named François Genoud 
• and according to the German to English translation, "With Genoud Rechenberg has worked in the marketing of the estate of Martin Bormann and at the trial of Adolf Eichmann in 1961."

In short, as of 1962, Rechenberg was assisting some of the more infamous Nazis in a variety of ways and was an "undercover agent" for the Bundesnachrichtendienst (BND) aka West German Intelligence.

Revisiting Arrowsmith

Harold Arrowsmith becomes even more interesting given that he was corresponding with Rechenberg, who it turns out, was actively running Nazi rat lines, if not actual Nazis. We can't say for sure if Arrowsmith's "old school" associations were prompted by the fall out with George Lincoln Rockwell and his new brand of American Nazis. (ie Rockwell was a disappointment, so Arrowsmith hooked up with the original version of the Nazi band.)

Alternatively, Arrowsmith may just have become disillusioned with Rockwell in particular, or Rockwell had served out a particular purpose, or the breakup was part of the school play. Whatever the case, Arrowsmith seems to have been in a relatively rare position to effect communication, plans, conspiracies, financial transfers, and a host of other arrangements between two "verbotten" entities; the Old School original Nazis and the New Wave Neo-Nazis of North America.

The discovery of Harold N. Arrowsmith dovetails slightly with the broader thesis described by George Webb and McDuff (Kennedy's Man to Smash the CIA) on their Youtube channels (Webb Channel) (McDuff Channel), which, in summary, says that the CIA was running former Nazi's into place like New Orleans, and that these Nazi's were not always the scientific types, like under Operation Paperclip. About the Gibson Islander Neo-Nazi Financier, the "Face" he Financed, and the Futile JFK File Search

If your father could have afforded to buy a house on Gibson Island back in the 1920's, when it was first developed and marketed by the Symington brothers as a "Newport" on the Chesapeake, then your father was likely wealthy and important, and possibly a founding member of a secret society that starts world wars, controls the weather, "keeps the metric system down"(1) , prevents the Buffalo Bills from ever winning the Super Bowl (2), and likes to sail. 

This Gibson Island "cottage", featured in a 1926 Gibson Island marketing brochure prompted a closer look into the Arrowsmiths a "prominent Baltimore family." 

Reverend Arrowsmith may be interesting in his own right, nevertheless, a duckduckgo search pulled up more interesting information about his Hitler saluting, Atlanta synagogue bombing son, with ties to stay-behind Confederate groups, neo and old-school Nazi's and possible JFK assassination conspirators.

Harold Noel Arrowsmith Jr. was born in 1919 to the owner and wife (Frances Swayne Cook Arrowsmith) of the house pictured on Gibson Island above. He died in 1989 in Germany. 

Harold gained some notoriety in 1958 when he was questioned in connection with the October 12^th bombing of The Hebrew Benevolent Congregation Temple located on Peachtree Street in Atlanta Georgia.

The explosion occurred just after 3:30 AM Eastern Standard Time on October 12, 1958.Those who heard the blast reported a "loud explosion" to police and newspapers. A United Press International (UPI) staff member had received a call earlier that night warning that a bombing would occur, but did not take the call seriously. At about 3:50 AM, shortly after the bombing, UPI staff received a call from "General Gordon of the Confederate Underground" who said "We have just blown up the temple. This is the last empty building I'll blow up in Atlanta." The explosion caused damage to the building estimated at between $100,000 and $200,000. Source: Wikipedia

Five people were quickly arrested after the bombing, including Luther King Corley (released quickly) George Bright, Robert A. Bolling (sometimes spelled “Bowling”), Wallace Allen, and Kenneth Chester Griffin.

The five were members of the National States’ Rights Party (NSRP) “…a fusion of numerous far-right groups including the Columbians, the Christian Anti-Jewish Party, and the United White Party.” 

All five were also members of the Knights of the White Camelia, an offshoot of the Ku Klux Klan founded in 1867 in Franklin Louisiana. Richard Bolling, the brother of Robert, who went on the run, was arrested a few days later. Source: Southern Spaces

Kenneth Chester Griffin quickly confessed and pointed at Bright as the ring leader. Griffin said the dynamite came from J.B. Stoner, founder of the NSRP. Within days, the NY Times reported that George Lincoln Rockwell had sent a letter to Wallace Allen the previous July and mentioned a “big blast.”

George Lincoln Rockwell (1918 to 1967) served in the US Navy from 1941 to 1959. He is often given "credit" for founding the American Neo-Nazi movement and the Internet contains any number of biographies, articles, his original speeches, pictures, harangues, etc.

In other words, his comings and goings are well documented. (The Netflix series "The Man in the High Castle" even has a character named "George Lincoln Rockwell", the top ranking Nazi Official for the Fourth Reich's North American satellite states. The Man in the High Castle Netflix series is based on the book with the same name by Philip K. Dick. The book and series imagines what the world would be like if the Nazi's won World War 2. Rexford Tugwell even makes an appearance in the book and TV show.)   

While Rockwell's name is used in the Netflix Series, his real life persona is more like a character out of the series Mad Men. He was kind of a well polished "new" type of Nazi, often shown smoking a pipe and acting like your typical Madison Avenue portrayal of a 1950s and early 1960's family man.

Aside from being known as founder of the neo-Nazi movement in America, Rockwell and his associates are on the list of potential suspects and conspirators related to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. 

Rockwell can be connected to various individuals or groups with extreme right political leanings such as General Walker (Oswald reportedly took a shot at Walker a few months earlier), Guy Bannister (shared his New Orleans offices with Oswald), David Ferrie, and others. The factual and speculative literature related to Rockwell and linked extreme right wing groups to the JFK assassination are extensive and can be found with simple google searches.

George Lincoln Rockwell, would eventually be killed JFK style in 1967 when a supposedly disgruntled former follower and ex-Marine Corps. sniper shot Rockwell with a rifle while Rockwell sat in his car.

Did Rockwell Find His 'Fat Cat' or Did the 'Fat Cat' Find Rockwell

As noted above, Rockwell joined the Navy in 1941, becoming a pilot. He had been a Sophomore at Brown University when war broke out but did not return to Brown when his service ended in 1946; instead going to Pratt as an art's student (did not graduate), and then opening is own advertising firm in Maine. In 1950 he was recalled to duty as a Lieutenant Commander. Rockwell was married with three kids when he was recalled and stationed in San Diego, where he trained Navy and Marine Corp. pilots, then in Iceland (his wife divorced him at this time) and Washington DC in 1955.

Rockwell seems to have become somewhat radicalized by extreme right ideas while stationed in the Washington DC area. He started a magazine in which he published anti-communist, anti-immigration screeds, had dreams about Hitler, and otherwise formulated his own brand of National Socialism. The magazine folded quickly, for lack of financial support.

Whenever the Internet does not give up easy answers to simple search queries, we naturally become suspicious.

As noted, there is plenty of information about Rockwell. What is missing is anything substantive about his benefactor, Harold Noel Arrowsmith, Jr.

“In 1958, Rockwell met Harold Noel Arrowsmith, Jr., a wealthy heir and anti-Semite who provided Rockwell with a house and printing equipment.” 

The typical mention of Rockwell's benefactor, like the quote above, suggests Arrowsmith was a "bit player" in Rockwell's radicalization and rise to recognition, even though both Rockwell's radicalization and/or the motivation for public recognition were mostly the result of meeting Mr. Arrowsmith and taking his money; as described in the quote below..

Rockwell’s metamorphosis from private to public Nazi, and political advocate only occurred after encouragement and financial support from Harold Noel Arrowsmith who has the dubious credit of being responsible for Rockwell’s early anti-Semitic activity. In 1958 Rockwell became a full-time anti-Semite and political agitator after Arrowsmith provided a house, printing press and $2,500 in cash.

Arrowsmith, an amateur anthropologist and exponent of white superiority and antisemitism sought an output for his genetic theories. His association with Rockwell ended in 1959, partly due to Rockwell’s inability to work in conjunction with others.

However, it was important in the political development of Rockwell as he had been enticed by the prospect of financial backing, though arguably Arrowsmith did not plant the seeds of anti-Semitism in Rockwell, but merely mobilized Rockwell into becoming a full-time political activist. If Harold Arrowsmith was from anywhere else but Gibson Island, we would probably just accept the official story that a nutty, anti-Semite like Arrowsmith, showed up on Rockwell's doorstep one day and gave Rockwell a handful of cash to promote anti-semitism. Rockwell, whether or not a committed anti-semite before meeting Arrowsmith, decided to go "full Nazi" after meeting Arrowsmith.

However, since Arrowsmith is from Gibson Island, we wouldn't be surprised if the official story was not at least partially contrived.

Did The Gibson Island Gang Need a Nutty Nazi?

Harold N. Arrowsmith clearly came from money. We need to do more research, as his biography is extremely thin, from what we have found so far. He was supposedly an "anthropologist."

He may well have been an anthropologist. Whether he was a real anthropologist, or just played one for a "school play", perhaps one that Rockwell did not know he was also a player in. In either case, getting people to listen to your crazy Nazi ideas about Aryans, or the skull volume differences between Sephardic Jews and nomadic horsemen of the Asian Steppe, etc., is presumably easier if you tell people you are an anthropologist.

Maybe Arrowsmith was in fact a dyed in the wool Nazi loving anthropologist, or maybe that's what he told Rockwell. There is certainly the argument that their was a need for a Rockwell in the 1950s. The Gibson Island Gang, with their CIA and CFR associations, Rockefeller and Rothschild members, Ford and Carnegie Foundation affiliations, and early 1920's development of the Island, by the wealthy industrialists and bankers that had rallied the US public to fight the Kaiser "over there", probably needed a Rockwell for its multi-decade effort to stay in control. 

A domestic Gladio program would certainly have a need for a few right wing nuts, to parry the left-wing nuts on the CIA payroll, like Lee Harvey Oswald, or more legitimate and organically formed groups, including up and coming threats, like those led by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X.

The Absence of Data is Meta

That Arrowsmith came from money, is a given. Whether he had any of his own, or had a job that allowed him to accumulate more wealth is also not clear. This is a matter of digging deeper into the family. Since there was family wealth, the most we can surmise is that it was "Old New York" family fortunes. Harold Arrowsmith's ancestors include the Bleekers and Lispenards. We will provide more information about the Bleekers and Lispenards at a later date, however for now, if a street in New York City is named after your ancestors, you can rest assure your ancestors had a lot of money. Bleeker Street is in Greenwich Village and Lispenard is down in Tribeca. 

Maryferrell.org is a searchable database of all the know documents related to the JFK assassination, as well as the other assassinations of the era, related cold war intrigue and domestic spying.

If you do a search on "George Lincoln Rockwell", the founding "face" of the New American Nazi's this is what you get.

If you do a search on "Arrowsmith", the founding "financier" of the New American Nazi's this is what you get.

Most of the 12 search hits are for a different "Arrowsmith."

Needless to say, we find it odd that Harold Noel Arrowsmith merits barely a mention in the millions of government files or in the nearly 53,000 files related to George Rockwell Lincoln.

Ahoy! Mary Pinchot Meyer's Cousin, Gifford Pinchot II, was a Gibson Island Yachtsmen

Always on the lookout for Gibson Island Realm Rulers, we came across the Gifford Pinchots.

Mary Pinchot Meyers will be familiar to most JFK Conspiracy buffs.

Mary Eno Pinchot Meyer (/ˈmaɪ.ər/; October 14, 1920 – October 12, 1964) was an American painter who lived in Washington D.C. Her work is considered part of the Washington Color School and was selected for the Pan American Union Art Exhibit at the Museum of Modern Art in Buenos Aires.[2] She was married to Central Intelligence Agency official Cord Meyer from 1945–1958, and she became involved romantically with President John F. Kennedy after her divorce from Meyer.

Mary Pinchot & Cord Meyer

We don't know if Mary Pinchot was a regular visitor to Gibson Island, but we can imagine she was familiar with the place. Although several sources report that Mary Pinchot was the daughter of Gifford Pinchot (1865 - 1946), Mary was the daughter of Amos Pinchot and and Gifford was her uncle.

Uncle Gifford was a well know politician "back in the day." He was the 28th Governor of Pennsylvania serving 1923 to 1927 and 1931 to 1935. He was also, the first Chief of the United States Forest Service from 1905 "until his firing in 1910,.." Mary's father Amos was a New York lawyer.

Yachting Records

Several sources note the "Loon", owned by Gifford Pinchot was a frequent winner of sailing races in and around its Gibson Island Yacht Club berth, and up and down the Eastern Seaboard. The references to the Loon we have found so far suggest a mid-1950's early 1960's christening, which would put its owner in the generation just after Governor Gifford Pinchot. Therefor, the Loon likely belong to Governor Pinchot's son, Gifford Bryce Pinchot. 

As noted, Mary Pinchot was the niece of the Governor, making Bryce her cousin.

Who was Edward Pierpont Morgan? Was Charles W. Lyons a CIA Cut Out? Did Otepka run across a Nazi Rat Line?

We ran across Mr. Morgan when looking for information about Charles W. Lyons in the maryferrell.org JFK Assassination Archives

Edward Pierpont Morgan was an FBI agent from 1940 to 1947. He left in the FBI in 1947 and went into private practice in the law firm of Welch, Mott & Morgan in Washington D.C.

Edward, with the middle name "Pierpont" and last name "Morgan", seems like he should be related, in some way, to the John Pierpont Morgan clan of banking fame. So far though, that does not seem to be the case. Nevertheless Edward P. Morgan is still an interesting fellow.

"Edward" is not an unusual name, and neither is "Morgan." "Pierpont" is not a name most people run into often, and when paired with "Morgan", one thinks of J.P. Morgan, the famed financier.

In fact, Edward Pierpont Morgan's father is named John Pierpont Morgan, just like the famous one, but he is not the famous one, or his almost as famous son, JP Morgan Jr.

The famous J.P. Morgan's gets the "Pierpont" name from his mother Juliet Pierpont (1816 to 1884.)

The name Pierpont of the less famous J.P. Morgan does not look like a family name. J.P. Morgan, the father of Edward Pierpont Morgan, was born in 1892 and we could not find any preceding "Pierponts" in his family tree.

Charles W. Lyons

Charles W. Lyons has been mentioned on the George Webb and "McDuff" Youtube channels. Charles W. Lyons was an FBI agent in the Washington field office.

Charles W. Lyons has merited attention by George Webb and "McDuff" under the broad and abbreviated thesis that:

• Operation Paperclip, the OSS/CIA plan to bring German and Nazi rocket scientists to the USA after World War II, was considerably larger than the 1,600 scientist estimate conventionally used.
• All types of scientists were brought over (not just rocket and aerospace experts) such as psychologists, psychiatrists, pharmaceutical chemists, and others.
• Non-scientists, including former members of the SS, snipers, and assassins were included.
• Many were "rinsed" through the Soviet Union and its Eastern European satellite states, and/or Soviet client states like the Ukraine and Belarus (White Russia.)
• A German, who can speak Russian, is a lot easier to get past State Department and FBI visa checks if he looks more like a defector and less like a former Nazi.
• MacDuff's father was charged with investigating the influx of rinsed Nazi's via CIA channels.

What were Mr. Lyons and Mr. Morgan Talking About?

On August 8, 1950, another agent in the Washington Field Office, William Leece was assigned a case that was related to some accusations made by Senator Joe McCarthy. The linked memo says that Lyons was attached to the case on October 2, 1950, but then adds that both Lyons and Leece had been jointly assigned to this investigation on August 8, 1950. 

The memo, dated November 19, 1952, seems to try to clear up some confusion as to whether Lyons was assigned to the case when an interview of Morgan was conducted sometime between August and October of 1950. The relevance of the date of Lyons' assignment stems from the interview that Lyons conducted (as well as Agent Robinette) with Morgan, "but since the interview was negative, it was not reported."

In short, Lyons was supposed to have told his superiors at the FBI Field Office that he spoke with Morgan, and should have reported what was said. The failure of Lyons to report his interview with Morgan prompted a letter recommending "censure for Special Agent Lyons..."

John Pierpont Morgan thought very highly of himself

Morgan had been out of the FBI for three years when he was interviewed by Agent Lyons. He had joined the law firm of Welch, Mott & Morgan and became National Director of the Office of Price Stability (OPS) in 1951. It was at his desk at the OPS when Morgan started to become a real pain-in-the-neck for the FBI, apparently "mouthing-off" that he would eventually be Hoover's replacement, but more annoyingly, poaching promising FBI agents and FBI Academy students for the OPS. 

As the January 13, 1951 memo below indicates, it looks the CIA had, or was in the process of, recruiting Mr. Morgan. We will surmise that Morgan was really recruiting for the CIA and the OPS was more likely a cover.  

We'll also speculate that Morgan was recruiting Charles W. Lyons (or already had) for CIA work. 

Charles W. Lyons next shows up in Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy's Office

Joan Mellen provides the necessary background about the persecution of Otto Otepka here. 

Otepka was the "Deputy Director of the State Department Office of Security. This meant that Otepka was in charge of granting security clearances for all State Department personnel."

He supposedly ran afoul of RFK for denying a security clearance to a political appointee. The standard story is that RFK decided to make life miserable for Otepka, and that included filling Otepka's office with his own loyalists, including Charles W. Lyons.

... Now four more Kennedy people arrived at the Office of Security to keep watch over Otepka. They included Joseph E. Rosetti, who had served in John F. Kennedy’s congressional office; Massachusetts Kennedy intimate, Robert J. McCarthy; and Charles W. Lyons, also from Massachusetts. These three were joined by David I. Belisle, a National Security Agency operative and friend of Walter Sheridan’s from his days at NSA. Belisle was to serve as Otepka’s immediate superior.

The alternative Joan Mellen theory

As Joan Mellen notes, the harassment of Otepka for slow footing security clearances for JFK political appointees seems excessive. 

As Joan Mellen also notes, Otepka, in his position at the State Department, started asking a lot of question about a guy named Lee Harvey Oswald, whose file, per standard processes, fell on his desk. Otepka's interest and questions about Lee Harvey Oswald is what prompted the harassment. 

Joan Mellen argues that Oswald, as a CIA asset, was on RFK's radar from early on in the JFK administration, because Oswald was part of an RFK/JFK plan to eventually take out Castro. This argument is further strengthened by RFK's post JFK assassination actions to supposedly way-lay the Jim Garrison investigation, and otherwise try to limit his pre-JFK assassination tracking of Oswald's whereabouts. 

The alternative, alternative, George Webb and "McDuff" theory

If you are a regular follower of George Webb and John O'Loughlin (aka, McDuff: Kennedy's Man to Smash the CIA) then you know McDuff's father worked at the FBI during the JFK administration. As the story goes (and we'll make corrections or amend if we get the story wrong), FBI Agent McDuff was put in charge of examining the files of thousands of European emigres to the USA after World War 2 and figure out which ones were actually Nazis or some type of war criminal.

The task would be laborious. While the roughly 1,600 "Paper-Clipped" Nazi's had an official excuse to have received a US visa after the war (they were a scientist, or had intelligence to share, etc. [ie. somebody signed off on their entry]), the emigre files on McDuff's desk may have only been suspected, or had been "rinsed." The rinsed group would imply that they would not have been allowed to come to the USA because of their Nazi past. These would include standard Nazi scientists (perhaps not rocket scientists like the Paper Clipped group, but other scientists that might be useful, such as psychiatrists and bio-chemists; the kind that would be useful for a well financed CIA mind control program.) In addition to scientists, their might be an assortment of die-hard militant type Nazis, SS members, and overall, the types of Nazi's that one would need for third world junta support, assassinations,Gladio operations, and assorted country destabilization efforts.

Under that premise, the Nazi's with marks "on their permanent record" and who the CIA wanted for their dirty work, would have needed to have been cleaned and rinsed, in order for them to get past bureaucrats like Otto Otepka.

The working theory is that the Nazi's were rinsed through Eastern Europe and Russia (Belorus and Ukraine) as well as South America and Cuba. For example, a Nazi scientist might be forced to stick it out in the Ukraine for ten years, learn the language and practice their trade. After a while, the Nazi scientist is no longer a Nazi, but a Ukrainian scientist who hates communism and wants to defect to the West.They can then sail through Otepka's visa checks, or people in different agencies with similar mandates.

White Russians in Louisiana 

Whether or not Otepka caught on to the process of rinsing Nazi's into White Russians remains to be seen. It seems likely though, that the CIA did not need Otepka messing up their Nazi rat line. In hindsight, that RFK put Walter Sheridan in charge of watching Otepka, makes it look like a CIA operation, since only years later would JFK researchers surmise that Sheridan was a CIA cut out all along.

That also seems to be the case with Charles W. Lyons, as explained above.

Also years later, it would be Walter Sheridan that pushed the narrative that RFK and JFK were planning to kill Castro, with Oswald in on the effort, and that the "Blow Back" from that plan is what eventually caused Oswald and/or his band of Castro assassins to turn their guns on JFK instead. There are therefore a few possibilities as to why RFK had an interest in Lee Harvey Oswald, and the White Russian community in and around Lafayette, Louisiana a year or two before November 1963;

1. RFK was keeping tabs on LHO Castro assassin team assembly progress.
2. RFK was aware some of the White Russians were likely Nazi's and LHO, having recently returned from White Russia (Minsk) was involved in the rinse and repatriation.
3. Lyons and Sheridan and the CIA in general were spinning stories and pointing fingers at Otepka in attempt to keep RFK out of the loop. In other words, perhaps LHO was in Louisiana to help manage the White Russian Nazi rat line, but Sheridan and his CIA superiors were telling RFK that LHO was rounding up Cubans willing to take a shot at Castro under a covert program started under Eisenhower and Nixon.

Webb and McDuff also suggested the 1953 election of Batista to his second term, and under the pressure of Castro's revolution, caused Batista to cozy up to the American organized crime cabal, which effectively ended Hoover's FBI presence their. The CIA filled the void at this time and started using Cuba as washing and rinsing station for Nazi's looking for entry into the USA.  

Everyone Always Blame RFK

Blaming RFK for his brothers death was a good way for the CIA to deflect the blame from its own likely involvement. Robert Maheu, the "consultant" to Howard Hughes is often given credit for taking the first steps to take out Castro. We won't revisit the intrigue and embellishments of Robert Maheu, nonetheless, one could make the argument that Maheu approached the Mafia, on behalf of the CIA, to assassinate Castro, on the orders of RFK and JFK.

Under the assumption that the Kennedy Brother's orders to kill Castro never existed or were abandoned well before November 1963, then those that continued to push that narrative, were or are likely to still be trying to absolve of any CIA involvement in the death of JFK.

The Robert Maheu narrative naturally comes under suspicion. We think the narrative becomes even more suspicious by noting that Robert Maheu, retained Edward Pierpont Morgan, as his lawyer on matters related to Maheu's business with Howard Hughes.

As referenced above, Edward Pierpont Morgan was in all likelihood a CIA cutout since the early 50's, and also likely recruited FBI agents into the company, such as Charles W. Lyons. As shown in the screen shot below, Morgan was actively pushing the story that Castro hired Oswald to kill JFK, which is a variation of a CIA deflection story, and may have had some credence without the hindsight that Edward Pierpont Morgan was a "Company" man all along.

Uranium Connections to the JFK Assassination Deserve More Attention

The Potential Loss of the Oil Depletion Allowance was not a reason to Kill JFK. Controlling the Energy Supply Chain for the Next 100 Years Makes More Sense.

When we hear or read that JFK was assassinated because some "Texas Oil Men" did not want to lose tax breaks under the existing oil depletion allowance, we shake our heads. Tax policy changes do not prompt conspiracies and assassination attempts. It is a lot cheaper and safer to hire some tax lawyers and accountants to find the loopholes that will inevitably exist in whatever new tax law is adopted.

If the preceding 100 years before 1963 were the Petroleum Century, the next 100 years promised to be the Nuclear Century. The common denominator of the 200 year Petroleum and Nuclear centuries is Energy. There is no reason to believe the primary commercial interests that controlled the flow of Petroleum Energy would relinquish any of their control of Energy markets in general, and not position themselves for control of Nuclear Energy for the next 100 years.

In other words, if you want to maintain dominance over "Energy" in the next 100 years, like you did for the previous 100 years, then occasionally taking out a President or two, who will not play ball, is likely an acceptable risk, given the rewards.

Naturally, if you control the Energy markets, you effectively control the Global Economy. I you control the Global Economy, then you effectively control everything else (smaller industries and markets, governments, people, etc.)

Atomic Everything

Since at least the 1970s, when Three Mile Island looked like it would blow-up half of Pennsylvania, the viability and safety of nuclear energy has mostly been viewed skeptically by the public. In the early days of the Atomic Age (shortly after WW2), however, the splitting of the atom held out the promise of unlimited amounts of clean energy for public consumption. Nuclear planes and atomic Studebakers, were just on the horizon by the early 1950s and every serious investor and fly-by-night speculator wanted in on the action; much like the late 1990s Internet craze.

The Cabal that controlled the Petroleum Industry for the previous 100 years, out of the need to maintain its control over governments, markets and people for the next 100 years, needed to control the Nuclear Industry going forward. 

Not Much JFK Era Nuclear Research

We are relative "newbies" to the world of JFK assassination theories. In fact, until the attempted Coup against Trump, we had little interest in lone gunman, grassy knoll conspiracies, or oil depletion allowances. Until 2016, none of the JFK theories out there seemed to have much of a connection to contemporary events. The existence of cabals and conspiracies involved in the JFK assassination seemed irrelevant if true. Nevertheless, the research into Robert Mueller's family tree and the peripheral connections of some Trump coup plotters, like Stefan Halper, to past coup attempts, led us to take a closer look at the JFK assassination, and the various theories about who was behind it.  

The Mueller Family involvement in the nuclear industry forced us to take a closer look at JFK's nuclear energy and weapons policies and see if their were any connections to his assassination.

Even though there is tons of JFK assassination literature out there, and we have only perused a sliver of it, from what we can tell, little has been written about potential associations between the assassination and his nuclear policy.

JFK's Atomic Issues  

The "Atomic-themed" research that does exist seems too under-represented in the assassination literature, relative to the importance of JFK's policies, and the perceived importance to the American economy in the early 1960s. In other words, at a time when Nuclear Energy was perceived as the successor to Petroleum Energy, and therefore to be the primary driver of the global economy going forward, assassination related connections to nuclear issues are lacking.

Israel Nuclear Weapons Program

JFK was opposed to Israel nuclear weapons program. There is a decent amount of information about JFK's opposition, and the program itself, however, there seems to be a reluctance to connect some historical events, or examine certain aspects of the program in the context of the JFK Assassination.

While we know JFK opposed the program, and we know the Mossad managed to smuggle enough Highly Enriched Uranium (HEU) out of the NUMEC plant in Apollo, Pennsylvania by 1965 to build several bombs ("The Apollo Affair"), we have not seen any documented research, or very much undocumented speculation, that the smuggled HEU and the assassination are potentially related. 

The lack of literature linking The Apollo Affair to the JFK Assassination, in part reflects a reluctance to get to close to the third rail of American foreign policy, which is anything critical of Israel. (We would argue that it is good that Israel built the bomb, and that the Mossad's  procurement of the HEU is less important than who in the U.S. Government sold the HEU to the Mossad. ie. The Mossad, as foreign spies, did what foreign spies do. The Americans, on the other hand, are traitors.)

The 1958 formation of NUMEC and the 1965 discovery that HEU was missing from the NUMEC plant in Apollo (near Pittsburgh) suggests that some of that HEU was going out the back door of the factory when JFK was President. (Alternatively, the HEU finally made its way out the door after JFK's death because he was no longer in the way.)

Final Judgment - The Missing Link In The JFK Assassination Conspiracy does dig into possible connections between Israel's Nuclear Weapons Program and the JFK assassination.

"George Sergius de Mohrenschildt was a petroleum geologist..."

That is the first sentence on George "Ds" Wikipedia Page. He probably was, but he easily could have been a uranium geologist, or both, given his travels and a few other indications in his biographies. Any of the countries he visited in the 1950s and 1960s could have been for uranium prospecting in addition to, or instead of oil prospecting. 

George "D" visited Nigeria, France, Mexico, Ghana, Togoland, France, Yugoslavia, Venezuela, Haiti and Cuba, among others. Although some of those countries currently have operating uranium mines, in the early days, any of those countries held potentially commercially viable reserves.

According to CD 531, CD 532 and Volume IX of the Hearings, deMohrenschildt in the 1940s was accused of collecting data regarding the operation of a uranium plant and in

Those Texas Oil Men were also in the Uranium Business

It was not necessary to fly to Togoland or Yugoslavia to find Uranium.

Uranium production started in 1958 in Texas and continued until 1999. After a five year hiatus, production started up again in 2004.

Many of the early investors included companies and groups who were already familiar with the area from their investments related to oil exploration and production.

According to Quixotic Joust "Morris D. Jaffe had help from LBJ's connections in Washington to get his alleged uranium field certified as "rich" by the AEC. As the grandson of real estate investors, he was then able to buy up options to purchase adjoining lands in which he optioned off prior to the uranium crash, apparently to Climax Molybdenum Company"

Harold Byrd is one of the most energetic and enterprising U.T. geology exes and one of the most active supporters of the University, which owes much of the Longhorn Band's appearance and activity to his assistance. He is president of the following four corporations in Dallas: Byrd Oil Corporation, Byrd Uranium Corporation, McConnell Drilling Corporation, and Colorado Carbonics, Inc. The fabulous role which Harold Byrd and Jack Frost played in discovering and developing the great East Texas Field is well known to most of the oil industry." 

D. Harold Byrd owned the 411 Elm Building, to which the Texas School Book Depository company moved in April 1963 from just across the street at 501 Elm, often called the Dal-Tex Building.
